The standard Apple Warranty is one year. Computers purchased as per the College's recommendation come with the AppleCare Protection Plan which extends the coverage on your Mac beyond the normal one year manufacturer's warranty. This comprehensive plan includes expert telephone assistance, hardware repairs for desktop and portable computers, and web-based support resources. An Apple-branded mouse/keyboard, AirPort Card or Apple RAM modules are also covered under the Plan if included with the original purchase.
During the Plan's term, Apple will repair or replace the Covered Equipment if necessary because of any existing defect in materials or workmanship. Apple will cover both parts and labor costs.
The Plan does not cover:
Damage due to accident, abuse, neglect, misuse, unauthorized modification, improper environment (including lack of proper temperature or humidity), unusual physical stress, failure or fluctuation of electrical power, lightning, static electricity, fire, or acts of God.
Repair, replacement, or maintenance of items that have been subject to wear and tear, such as cases, key caps, knobs, handles, batteries, frayed power adapters or mechanical parts.

If a student system is in need of repair and must be sent out for warranty repairs (commonly the case for portables), the College may provide a loaner system if one is available. There is no cost for this loaner service.
Printer repairs and warranties are handled directly with the manufacturer. Warranty information is included with each printer purchase. The College does not repair printers nor do we imply any support for these devices.
