OS X: Connecting with VPN Private Network Software

VPN Client application icon

From your APPLICATIONS folder, double-click the VPN Client icon.



IF YOU ARE ON-CAMPUS, CONNECTING TO THE WIRELESS NETWORK:

From the drop down menu, select fandm-wireless. Then click once on the CONNECT button.



IF YOU ARE OFF-CAMPUS AND CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET USING YOUR HOME SERVICE PROVIDER, OR IF YOU ARE USING VPN FROM ON CAMPUS VIA ETHERNET:

From the drop down menu, select fandm-internet. Then click once on the CONNECT button.



VPN User Authentication Window image

The User Authentication window appears. The title of the window may indicate user authentication for 'wireless' or 'internet' depending on your location.

In the USERNAME edit box, type your username and unified password.

Click once on OK.



You are now securely connected to the VPN server whereby you can access and utilize all F&M network services. Your status is indicated in the bottom portion of the window.

When you have finished your network session, in the VPN Client window, click once on the DISCONNECT button.

Next, go to the VPNClient menu and select QUIT VPNClient.
