As a convenience for the F&M college community, Computing Services has now added secure web access to your Meeting Maker calendar. You can now view your calendar using a web browser from anywhere you have an internet connection.
To access your calendar through the web, type the following address into your browsers ADDRESS bar:
http://meetingmaker.fandm.edu
The following page appears. Click once on CLICK HERE TO LAUNCH.
Next, click once on the link which is appropriate to the operating system on your Mac.
Secure access to the Meeting Maker server is accomplished with the use of a browser security certificate. The next window displays a warning and appears the first time you access the server in a particular browser on a particular machine. And while the wording is different for OS 9 and OS X users, the questions that are asked are fundamentally the same - do you want to use this certificate? And if so, do you want to grant access for this one session or all sessions?
In order to access your calendar, the answer to the first question is yes.
However, you need to decide if you want to allow it once for this session only, or always allow from this same browser on this same machine. Our feeling is that it is simpler to always allow use of the certificate. This way, you will not receive this particular message again. You still need to enter your Meeting Maker sign-in name and password to access your calendar.
OS X Users: Depending on which option you prefer, click on either GRANT THIS SESSION or GRANT ALWAYS.
OS 9 Users: If you would like to always grant access then click once in the checkbox ALWAYS TRUST THIS SIGNATURE, then click on the YES button. For single session access, simply click on the YES button.
The next page presents you with a dialog box which enables you to select the time zone for your location and to enter your sign-in name and password. First click once on the TIME ZONE... button.
In the top portion of the next dialog box, click once on the desired time zone, then, in the bottom portion, click once on the OK button.
Next, type your Meeting Maker sign-in name and password into the appropriate boxes, and then click once on the SIGN IN button.
Your calendar appears in the web page and behaves much like the client software you are used to.
The buttons at the top of the screen can be used to manipulate your calendar.
| The first set of buttons allow you to create new and open or delete existing activities. ↓ |
The third set of buttons allow you to control who can view your calendar, control how your calendar funtions through the preferences, and allows you to log out of the Meeting Maker server. ↓ |
| The second set of buttons ↑ allow you to view your messages, contacts, to do list, as well as your monthly and daily calendars. | The small icons to ↑ the right of all the buttons will toggle the buttons between icon/name view and name view. |
