Adding Pictures to Your PowerPoint Presentations
Adding pictures to a presentation is the easiest way to liven it up. Pictures can make text more understandable and more attractive. There are a couple of ways to add pictures to your PowerPoint presentation.
From the INSERT menu select PICTURE, and from the sub-menu you have several options to select the source of your picture.
You can add pictures from your clip art collection, from any existing file, from one of the many pre-made shapes and arrows, or from any creation you make using the WordArt utility.

Once your picture appears in your presentation, you can choose from a variety of formatting options.
Click once on your picture. The PICTURE toolbar appears near the picture (by default).
On the PICTURE toolbar click once on FORMAT PICTURE...
The same toolbar is accessible by going to the VIEW menu, selecting TOOLBARS, and from the submenu select PICTURE.
You may also go straight to the FORMAT menu and select PICTURE to open the FORMAT PICTURE window.
The FORMAT PICTURE window appears.
You can do anything to your picture from resizing to positioning.
If your picture is in clip art format, you can even recolor it to match your presentation's color scheme.
Click once on the PICTURE tab at the top of the window, then click once on the RECOLOR button at the bottom of the window.
The next tutorial demonstrates how you can personalize your presentation to fit a certain desired look or to include a design or logo on every page by utilizing the SLIDE MASTER feature:
