How to Connect to the Workroom Color Printer
To give the Franklin & Marshall community access to high resolution color printing resources, the Computer Workroom in the Martin Library hosts a color printer you can use for a nominal fee.
The first step is to add the color printer to the Print Center in OS X version 10.x.x. The Print Center can be accessed in one of two ways:
In any open application, from the FILE menu select PRINT. From the PRINTER drop down menu, select EDIT PRINTER LIST.
OR
In the Applications folder ⇒ Utilities folder locate and double-click to launch the Print Center.

The PRINTER LIST window appears.
Click once on the ADD icon.

Using the top pull down menu, select APPLETALK.

Using the second pull down menu, select APPLETALK NETWORK. The bottom pane of the Printer List window now lists the Appletalk Zones on campus.

Find and click once to select the Appletalk Zone COMPUTER WORKROOM.
Click once on the CHOOSE button.

A list of printers appears in the bottom pane.
Click once to select WORKROOMCOLOR.
Click once on the ADD button.

A dialog appears that states that Print Center was unable to locate a printer description file. Click once on the MANUALLY SELECT button.

From the PRINTER MODEL drop down menu select GENERIC.

Click once on the ADD button.

The Printer List window again appears with the WorkroomColor printer listed.
WorkroomColor is now the default printer, indicated by the boldface type.
If you wish to change the default printer, click once on the name of the other printer. Click once on the icon MAKE DEFAULT.
